These last couple of months have been hectic with the setting up of this new website. I have to be honest though, I never thought that I could do it. I most certainly could not have done it alone. I had no idea that setting up a website was so involved and possibly complicated.

Transferring well, more like copying and pasting the posts from my old website to this new one was a job in itself. I never thought that I would be doing this sort of thing. I never dreamed of doing this sort of thing to begin with. So, for the most part it was more time consuming, and I had to take the time to check every little detail so that it all matched up with the original post. No rushing into this! I guess for a good website that is functional and presentable you have to take the time to be detail oriented to make sure that you have all that is needed to have a successful website. I had never really thought much about it, I just went with the simple. Well, I now am getting my experience in the different realm of building and presenting a somewhat professional website that I can be proud of. Whew!!

I have to admit that it takes a lot of work, study, and time as well as getting to know what capabilities that go into building a functional website. There will be headaches and frustrations that go along with it, but you have to bear in mind that if you don’t know something for a plugin or added feature that you have to search and find out how to make that part work. I’m so glad that I had help, because I didn’t have a clue as to what I was doing or looking for. Much less how to do it. I’m not a programmer by no means. So, I hope that if you decide to do something like this, check out all the avenues and make sure that you understand what you are doing and looking for. It can get confusing, that is for sure.
